New Headline News Graphics?
Unless this is just for the 12:00 CT hour of Headline News, it looks as if they have new graphics which are very smiliar to the Morning Express with Robin Meade graphics. I normally watch Headline News beginning with the 1:00 AM hour, so I will verify then whether or not their graphics are the same. The financial/sports ticker box is gone from these graphics. Update: HLN has indeed changed their graphics. They have definitely removed the CNN from the name as you could tell that Christi caught herself before saying "CNN Headline News" and instead said "Headline News". Femi Oke Update
Got an E-Mail today from Femi Oke, who left CNN International recently to move to New York. She included a note about her new adventures in The Big Apple. Thanks for writing in, Femi! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Dear CNN Friends, I am now based in New York where I'm the Senior Editor and news announcer for a new US national public radio morning news show called "The Takeaway". The show is hosted by John Hockenberry, Adaora Udoji and I anchor all the news headlines and updates. It's a live and conversational look at the daily news, current affairs and popular culture. "The Takeaway" is produced by the BBC, Public Radio International, The New York Times, WGBH Boston and WNYC Radio, so it’s an impressive collaboration! You can check in on me online at http://www.thetakeaway.org/
It's been such a great pleasure and more fun than I deserve to have spent over eight years of my career at CNN. The move to New York was primarily a personal one as my better half lives in New York City. However, CNN will forever be a part of me and I will never forget the amazing experience of broadcasting to the world.
Warmest wishes, Femi OkeLabels: CNN International, Femi Oke

America Votes: An Arab View
CNN - CNN International anchor and reporter Hala Gorani will lead panelists in an engaging and timely debate about Arab media coverage of the U.S. Presidential Election. It's a made-in-the-U.S. drama that seems to be stirring great interest in the Mideast audience. Arab viewers are riveted to this historic election - drama generated in part by the fact that for the first time, a woman and an African-American stand a chance of becoming U.S. president. Our panelists discuss what many say is an intensity in coverage of the election - a clear interest in a story that affects Arabs deeply. The panelists will explore how invested the Arab audience is in the outcome of this election. Certainly the war in Iraq, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, troubled relations between Lebanon and Syria, and the American-Iranian standoff are all factors driving Arab interest. Do viewers have their favorite candidates? Are they interested in the theatrics of the election? How do they view a successor to the Bush White House? Will a new president provide a different agenda for the region, or more of the same? CNN International from CNN En Español Studios This Weekend
This weekend portions of CNN International's World News programming was being broadcast from the studios of CNN En Español. This was because they were doing some studio lighting and camera work. Later on in the day on Saturday and Sunday they were back in the CNN/I studio because of CNN En Español's Mirador Mundial broadcasting live from that studio. It may be safe to assume this same work is going on in London and Hong Kong this weekend, although it hasn't been confirmed to us. Here you'll see a photo of Rosemary Church broadcasting her World News segment on Saturday morning from the CNN En Español studios. Update: London's studios are not seeing any results of any work so I don't believe the work was done this weekend. Stay tuned! Labels: CNN En Español, CNN International, Rosemary Church, World News
