CNN Drops iPhone App Charge; Android Version On The Way

CNN has officially nixed the purchase price for its iPhone application. The network stopped charging for the mobile news app earlier this week. In a report from The Australian, the network hasn't ruled out charging for the Android version when it is released later this month.
Later this month CNN will widen its mobile news service offerings to include an application for Google's Android platform.

The spokeswoman said that consumers shouldn't necessarily expect that Android version of the application will be free.

"I'm not saying we won't charge for the application but I'm not saying we will either,'' Ms Martin said.
