Patrick Oppmann Appointed To CNN's Havana Bureau
CNN has appointed Patrick Oppmann to the network's Havana bureau. He will be responsible for covering Cuba and the surrounding region for all CNN television and digital networks.
Since joining CNN in 2000, Oppmann has worked as Assignment Editor and then Field Producer with the network’s Miami Bureau. In 2010, he was one of CNN's main correspondents reporting on the rescue of 33 trapped Chilean miners.
The Havana bureau position was previously held by Shasta Darlington who is now based at CNN's bureau in São Paulo.
