CNN International Changes

Have you noticed that CNN International is broadcasting from a new location within CNN Center in Atlanta? They are broadcasting from the former Headline News control room. Headline News stopped broadcasting their normal weekend programming from there when they moved into a new control room earlier this year.

CNN International is broadcasting from there because their current set is undergoing a complete renovation to debut sometime in early 2009.

More changes are in store for CNN International in 2009. We'll keep you informed on all of them as soon as we can.

Thanks to Thot on the CNNfan.org forums for use of the screenshot!

I think it's worth mentioning the closure of CNN en Espanol Radio and what happened to its employees:

I hope that the work on the CNN studio for
America. The Newsroom from Atlanta looks
outdated. They have cool studios in NY and
Wash, DC. Please do something with Atlanta.
I also hope new music and more graphic updates
are on the way. It is my guess that CNN has the
technology to do some infographics since I am
noticing some macs on the tv screen so I am
guessing that a lot of use of Final Cut Pro is
on the way.

I have been noticing some promos with the
lets go theme on CNN. Does this mean that
changes are on the way. If CNN has any sense
they would put TJ Holmes on the prime time
list and get rid of Lou Dobbs and give Erica
Hill a program for the 8pm hour. Also use
the CNN.com and Betty and Alina and people
who are tech buffs at CNN for the 3pm hour.
Rick Sanchez has go to go.CNN needs to bring
some of it's 20-somethings and 30-somethings
to prime time. Lou Dobbs, Campbell Brown
and Larry King don't seem to bring in viewers.
to be a mix. MSNBC was smart to put the 30
something Maddow on for 9pm. It did pay off
when Anderson Cooper anchored 360 in 7pm
hour.Maybe they can move Showbiz to the
9pm hour on HLN and actually do some news
they might help draw some viewers from
MSNBC. CNN needs some fixing right now.
