David A Rosenthal, former Science correspondent and contributor to CNN programme Science and Technology Week, has died at the age of 58. Mr Rosenthal died on 16 March after a long illness, but news of his death is only now being circulated publically.

Rosenthal started contributing to CNN in 1989 and continued doing so until 1994. He served a long career under the US military, and was an avid DXer and amateur radio enthusiast.
