A Smerconish talk-show pilot?
Phildelphia Inquirer - Why was Michael Smerconish, backed by a camera crew, doing "man-on-the-street" interviews on Friday at Reading Terminal Market?
Isn't he on radio?
Talk is that Smerconish, with backing from TV savvy next-door neighbor Pat Croce, is putting together a talk-show pilot for CNN and has studio time booked this week to shoot the bulk of it.
Smerconish, who hosts mornings on WPHT (1210), is a frequent guest on CNN, as well as NBC. Buttonholed later, Smerconish and Croce were uncharacteristically quiet.
A CNN rep says the network asks for many pilots and generally does not comment on them.
