John King to Interview President-elect Barack Obama

CNN Press Release - CNN’s John King will travel to a manufacturing factory in Bedford Heights, Ohio, to interview President-elect Barack Obama for an exclusive interview before being sworn in as president on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The interview will air during The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on Friday, which airs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (ET). King will question Obama on substantive issues that he will face in the first days of his administration, including the economy and national security. Obama will also discuss his relationship with President George W. Bush, share his thoughts on his family’s move to Washington and reflect on the historic nature of becoming the first African-American U.S. president.

John King is CNN’s chief national correspondent and the anchor of the new Sunday morning program State of the Union with John King, which debuts this weekend from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (ET).
