I have a question for anyone out there. Was Dr. Gupta right about the cardiac catheterization(medical procedure used to diagnose and treat certain heart conditions) wait time being 6 days in Canada? That sounds really long. Mr. Moore's response was that in England 71% of people get to see the doctor that day or the next day. But getting to "see" a doctor and actually having a cardiac catheterization done is not the same thing, is it? Dr. Gupta also said that in the US it takes about a day for someone who is non-emergent or a few hours if you are emergent to get a cardiac catheterization.
Someone please post your thoughts!
Why didn't Mr. Moore mention anything about Canadas inheritence tax that helps pay fot madical treatment? When my husband died I was 31 yrs old with 2 boys(5 yrs and 5 months old) and without the irrevocable trusts he had, the most inheitence taxes i would have paid on 3 million dollars is 35% and I had Canadian neighbors who informed me on their 95% death tax no matter what. The down side is that I pay a bit over 1,000 dollars a month for health insurance but wouldn't trade with the Canadian health care system for anything. I take it as an American privilage to choose the doctors I want for us and I choose the best. Because of my wealth I pay a high rate while a friend of mine pays 40.00 dollars a month for the same choices but has a low income. I see part of the problem is paying for medical care out of my medical premiums and taxes for illegals who don't pay anything. Why didn't either one mention that? God bless our country and our freedom to keep inheritence and choose our own doctors!
Canadians do not have to pay inheritance taxes, that is an american concept not a canadian one.
