Christina Park
This morning, Christina Park is filling in for Susan Hendricks on CNN Headline News. Does anyone know more about her? She's been at CNN for a while it seems, long enough to once have a bio page at CNN.com. Here's that bio from 2005:
Christina Park is an anchor with CNN QUICKCAST, a fast-paced hourly web-exclusive newscast produced by CNN for several broadband Internet access providers. Named to this position in 2002, Park is based in the network's world headquarters in Atlanta.
Park joined CNN in 1999, working in several areas, including CNN and CNN Headline News. Before her current position, she worked as a medical and health producer for CNN Headline News. She has also reported on Headline News as well as for CNN, CNN International and as an anchor for CNN Student News.
During her tenure at CNN, Park has helped launch a number of programs, including CNNdotCOM, where she produced the Internet "how-to" segments called "Tools." She also helped with the launch of CNN's profile-style program, People in the News. In August 2001, she moved to Headline News to help with the launch of the revamped network.
Park has won multiple honors for her professional work, including a National Headliner Award for her work with CNNdotCOM. She is also a member of
the Atlanta Press Club.
Park graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in neuroscience. A native of Atlanta, she was a concert pianist for the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra and is fluent in Korean.
